NCISAA Football Top Five

The final regular season NCISAA Football Top Five shows yet another number one in the D-I ranks for the third time in three weeks. Charlotte Country Day's 17-7 win over last weeks top ranked Providence Day Chargers has allowed Charlotte Christian to slide into the top spot for the first time this season. The Knights had little trouble disposing of Ravenscroft last week rolling to a 56-14 win.
This however sets up yet another showdown battle this week in the CISAA as Charlotte Christian must travel down Sardis Avenue to do battle with Providence Day on Friday night. A Knight win will secure both the CISAA regular season crown as well as the top seed in the upcoming playoffs while a loss will throw the seeding committee into a quandry as the Knights, Chargers and Bucs will conclude the season in a three way tie for first place assuming that Charlotte Country day takes care of business with Latin in another key CISAA clash.

Harrels can clinch outright the Big East Conference title with a win at Ravenscroft on Friday night while a loss will create a three way logjam with the Ravens and North Raleigh.
Southlake Christian continues their strong hold on the number one position in the D-III ranks but the eagles have got to be looking over their shoulder at second ranked Victory Christian. Trinity Christian's 34-0 win over Metrolina was huge for the Crusaders as it gave thenm a legitimate toehold on one of the four D-III playoff spots.
