The 3A Selections and seeds are done while the 1A and 2A have one more week of the regular season before these schools begin the playoffs. The 1A and 2A Tournaments are flighted so the seeding meetings will not be until just before the championships, which begin on October 30th. The 1A championships are in Wilson at Barton College. The 2A tournament is in Wilmington at Cape Fear Academy.
