Just a week and a half left of the regular season before we go to the state cross championships at Hagenstone Park. In the 2A girls, we have seen Asheville Christian Academy run several times and the Lions are loaded with talent beginning with Whitney Thornburg and Mandi Struble. These two ladies can flat-out run. We watched the Montreat Invite yesterday where we saw a talented Carolina Day girls team led by Melissa Garrett, who ran the Montreat course in 21:51 in wet and very muddy conditions.
